The Europarc Federation launched the European Day of Parks in 1999 as a means to arouse public's awareness and interest in our national treasures!
Did you know that the first European National Park had been created by Sweden on May, 24th 1999?
That's why each year events are held throughout Europe on May 24th, on the European Day of parks.
